GRACe at the Center of the Cross Roads of Nine Bodies from 7 States of Sudan: Exchanging, Learning and Networking
The Gender and Reproductive Health and Rights Resource and Advocacy Center (GRACe) at Ahfad University for Women (AUW), in collaboration with the UNFPA Sudan Office and DFID, organized exchange visits among its consortium partners to foster learning and networking between these organizations. Exchange visits were held in four states namely: Kassala, Gadarif, North Kordofan and Khartoum to enable partners to improve program quality and effectiveness for staff members and targeted communities by learning from each other. A one day forum was organized in AUWand was attended by all the exchange visits team members, UNFPA, DFID and GRACe’s staff members. Presentations and discussions were done to reach a common understanding to new approaches tested by partners in combating FGM/C at the community level and and to create foundation for future networking and partnerships among all targeted partners and other involved ones in the different states. The organization of more similar visits and establishment of monitoring information system at community level were among the common recommendations raised.
